4-27 Message Notes

Bless Alexandria

This Sunday, we will not have morning worship services at DBC. Instead we will go into our community and bless them. It's not too late to get involved - click here for a full list of our projects on Sunday. We will worship together at 4:00 at the church followed by a hot dog dinner (bring a side dish/dessert).

Last Sunday's Sermon

Pray for our teens as they go tonight to Baltimore to join with thousands of teens in worship, concerts and small groups.

We have started. Click here to view the reading plan. If you want to get involved, please contact Dan.

We have a great summer planned. Be sure to check it out on our website by clicking here. VBS registration - click here. Questions? Please contact the church office.

AWANA Celebration, Wednesday, May 14

Come join our children, parents and teachers for the closing celebration and the excitement of learning God’s word. Celebration will be from 6:30-7:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Contact the church office, if you have any questions.

Children's Six-Week Study- Fruits of the Spirit: We are doing a special six-week study on Wednesday nights, 6:30-8:00PM, May 21 - June 25 for children 4 years old to 6th grade. Using Galatians 5:22-23, children will learn about the fruits of the spirit- what they are, how they are developed and how they are displayed in our lives. This will be a fun and interactive study through bible lessons, games and crafts with practical application in church, home, school, and the community. Volunteers are needed to both lead and assist in the activities. Contact Krystal to sign-up.

Thank you April!

April An has served as our Administrative Assistant since December. She will be completing her Bachelor's degree at George Mason in a couple of weeks and will be moving to an internship as she prepares to go to law school. We are thankful for her work with us. We are pleased to announce that Mariana Alvarado will be joining our staff on May 7 as part time Administrative Assistant. Mariana has an extensive background with graphic design and we are excited that she will be part of our staff.

Former pastor Dale Seley will be preaching in both services. Dale is the pastor of Salem Baptist Church in Fredericksburg. Special music for the day will be provided by Dave Brown and his brother Brian. Brian has performed with artists such as Steve Green, Mandisa, The Imperials, Larnelle Harris, Russ Taff, David Phelps, and Twilla Paris in venues ranging from the Ryman Auditorium to Carnegie Hall. It is going to be a great day of worship –come join us!

DBC Leaders:  Learn how to take our ministry to the next level at the “BEYOND” (#fbcgbeyond) Church Development Symposium Sat., May 24th @FBCG.
