The community of stand-up comics is coming together for one of their own.

Nationally acclaimed comedian Chris “Crazy Legs” Fonseca will be part of a star-studded line-up of stand-up comics who will perform in “No Laughing Matter?” – a benefit to help offset the medical bills of Chris’ daughter, Coral Fonseca, who’s been hospitalized with diabetic ketoacidosis.

“Late Nite with David Letterman” alum Chris Fonseca, known as “the original sit-down comic,” will be joined by Vegas and Benefit headliner Baglady Sue, Denver Improv member Vincent Vigil,  and emcee Lloyd Woodby, “the Rocky Mountain High Specialist.”

Fonseca has hosted many a charity benefit to help out his peers, and now it’s payback time.

Coral is recovering at home now, but the bills are piling up, and universal healthcare hasn’t quite reached the stand-up industry.

Suzanne Austin as the lovable character “BAG LADY SUE” has become one of the most re-requested performers, and one of the top draws at nightclubs, veterans clubs, concerts and motorcycle rallies all across the U.S.A.!  Folks like to say, “If Sam Kinison and Dr. Ruth spawned, SHE would have been the result!”  Read more...

Chris Fonseca

Chris Fonseca, 48, has been performing stand-up comedy for nearly three decades.  To call his comedy, "Stand-up," is a bit of a stretch, since he uses a wheelchair, as a result of the combination of Cerebral Palsy and car accidents.

His success in the comedy world has included appearances on HBO, Showtime
and The Late Show with David Letterman.
